Utilizing CO2 (R744) as a refrigerant, it’s capable of sublimating 1200 kg of ice in under 24 hours, ensuring a high yield of dry products, approximately 240 kg per cycle based on 1200 kg of wet product with 80% moisture. The machine showcases energy efficiency with an estimated consumption of 1.7 kWh/kg and an operational power usage of 84 kW when dry. It’s equipped with a 1200 kg capacity ice condenser operating at -40C and shelves that offer a temperature range of -35C to 70C. The freeze dryer includes 224 food-grade anodized aluminium trays per cycle, heated/cooled by Temper 55 medium, and is designed with two doors for easy access. The chamber measures 5.12m in length, 2.80m in width, and 2.58m in height, with the plant equipment on a separate skid.
